Adult Bedwetting... Gaining A Better Understanding

Due to the fact that the doctors and other medical staff that are already treating the other symptoms of the trauma, they are more often able to treat the physical cause. The more difficult of the causes of adult enuresis, sleep disorders, are harder to treat, and sometimes may not be curable at all.
Adult enuresis caused by a sleep disorder, such as sleep apnea, is more difficult to treat, as there are a plethora of symptoms that can be linked to the cause. Some of those possibilities include night terrors, and night sweats, or even sleep walking. The underlying cause of the issue is the adult that is experiencing the bedwetting is sleeping in such a deep state, that they are unable to control the muscle that would normally keep them from passing urine throughout the night. Not only this, but they also are unable to respond to the body’s and the minds normal mental triggers that wake most adults when their bladder is full during the night.
Bedwetting for an adult can be a debilitating condition as feelings of shame along with interrupted sleep cycles can affect a person’s emotional stability. The upside for anyone who suffers from adult enuresis is that this condition doesn’t have to be a permanent one. Thankfully when the cause is from a physical trauma, it can be identified and treated easily. Whereas when a sleep disorder is the underlying cause for adult bedwetting, it is recognized that it is not emotional or mental in nature, thus giving hope that since the cause can be identified and dealt with.
